About ATLAS
ATLAS: Anytime Learning in an Asynchronous Environment
Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, Charlotte Mecklenburg Virtual School (CMVS) will launch ATLAS, a flexible virtual learning option for students in grades 9–12. ATLAS is designed for independent learners who thrive with choice and control over their schedules.
With ATLAS, students are not required to attend live classes. Instead, they complete weekly modules, allowing them to manage their time and responsibilities more effectively. ATLAS offers a rigorous, accredited public school experience that rivals homeschool and charter options—without tuition or compromise on quality.
