Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Virtual School!

As principal of CMVS, I am excited to welcome both our returning families and those joining us for the very first time. Thank you for choosing Charlotte-Mecklenburg Virtual School as your partner in your child’s education. We are honored by the trust you place in us and are committed to providing a supportive, engaging, and high-quality learning experience for every student.

At CMVS, we believe that learning should be flexible, personalized, and designed to meet the unique needs of each student. Our virtual environment allows students to learn in ways that best support their goals while still benefiting from strong relationships with teachers, counselors, and support staff. 

Our teachers are dedicated professionals who work hard to provide meaningful instruction, timely feedback, and individualized support. We also recognize that family engagement plays a critical role in student success. When schools and families work together, students thrive. We encourage open communication throughout the year and invite you to partner with us as we support your child academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of feeling confident in your child’s educational experience. My husband and I are proud parents of two young adults, and I know firsthand that every family wants their child to feel challenged, supported, and prepared for the future. That perspective guides my work each day and reinforces my commitment to ensuring every CMVS student has the resources and opportunities needed to succeed.
